  • Support technicians during installation and commissioning, perform onsite and remote testing, troubleshoot servers, workstations, networks, and field devices, and create documentation for configurations and testing.

Build and Deploy Enterprise Security Systems

Teledata is a regional technology integrator with more than 30 years of experience serving large commercial and industrial organizations, municipalities, and utilities. We represent leading physical security manufacturers and invest heavily in manufacturer-led training and certification for our team.

We are seeking a Physical Security Systems Engineer to design, program, test, document, and deploy access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems. This is a hands-on role that combines system engineering, sales support, server deployment, device programming, troubleshooting, and customer interaction.

What You Will Do

• Design physical security solutions and assist with equipment selection, bills of materials, licensing, server sizing, storage calculations, and network requirements.

• Configure and deploy Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 IoT, and Windows Server systems using Teledata standards.

• Install and program enterprise physical security applications, databases, licenses, users, alarm rules, schedules, recording settings, maps, and integrations.

• Configure IP cameras, access control boards, intrusion panels, readers, sensors, inputs, outputs, and other field devices.

• Troubleshoot servers, workstations, SQL databases, customer networks, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewall-related issues.

• Support technicians during installation and commissioning, perform onsite and remote testing, and provide professional end-user training.

• Create accurate configuration records, programming sheets, IP schedules, test results, and project turnover documentation.

Technology Exposure

You do not need experience with every platform. Relevant programming or deployment experience with at least one of the following is valuable:

·         LenelS2 OnGuard

·         Genetec Security Center

·         Hanwha WAVE

·         Axis Camera Station

·         Milestone XProtect

·         Millennium Ultra

·         Microsoft SQL Server

·         Arcules

·         Windows Server

What You Bring

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

·         Direct hands-on experience programming, configuring, or deploying at least one of the physical security product lines listed above; or

·         A relevant college degree or technical training in computer systems, information technology, networking, cybersecurity, electronics, or a related discipline.

Additional requirements:

·         Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and server/client applications.

·         Mid-level IP networking knowledge, including subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and firewall concepts.

·         Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or a comparable database environment.

·         Strong troubleshooting, organization, documentation, and customer communication skills.

·         Ability to read system drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, and technical documentation.

·         Valid driver's license and reliable transportation when driving is required.

·         Current OSHA 10 certification or the ability to independently obtain it within 14 days after accepting an employment offer.

·         Ability to complete required background and drug screenings as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable law.

Work Environment and Travel

·         This position is based on-site at Teledata's Las Vegas headquarters and does not offer a consistent remote-work schedule.

·         Approximately 5-10% travel is required to support Teledata service regions, including occasional overnight and out-of-state assignments.

·         Occasional work outside the normal schedule may be required for deployments, upgrades, or service interruptions.

·         The role may require rack-and-stack work, ladders, hand and power tools, and work in equipment rooms, data centers, customer facilities, and active construction environments.

·         With or without reasonable accommodation, occasionally lift, carry, position, and install equipment weighing up to 75 pounds; team lifting or material-handling equipment is required above 75 pounds.

·         Follow applicable OSHA requirements, Teledata safety procedures, customer-site rules, and personal protective equipment requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is $24.04-$48.08 per hour, approximately $50,000-$100,000 annually. Placement within the range is based on relevant platform experience, technical proficiency, certifications, education, and demonstrated ability to independently design and deploy systems.
