We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supervisor – Telecom Construction Undergroundto lead daily field operations across our Oregon region.

In this regional role, you will be responsible for overseeing underground telecom construction crews, managing regional project execution, balancing production targets with crew safety, and ensuring all underground utility activities align with engineering prints and local regulatory guidelines.

What you’ll do

Crew Leadership & Regional Supervision:Oversee, schedule, and direct daily underground operations for field crews (foremen, equipment operators, directional drill operators, and laborers) across the Oregon region.

Safety & Regulatory Compliance:Enforce company safety policies, OSHA/DOT standards, and local traffic control regulations;conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments, and daily tailgate meetings.

Operational Planning & Execution:Interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and cut sheets to execute daily regional project objectives; coordinate daily job routing, dispatching, and 811 utility locates to prevent utility strikes.

Production & Resource Management: Monitor regional production progress against project deadlines, manage equipment allocation, minimize downtime, and coordinate routine maintenance.

Quality Assurance & Reporting:Perform site quality audits, resolve field roadblocks, maintain production logs, track labor hours, and report operational updates to regional telecom management.

Team Building & Mentorship:Promote a positive, accountable field culture by coaching crew members, resolving workplace issues, and supporting ongoing team development.

What you’ll need

Experience:Minimum 3–5 years of experience in underground utility/telecom construction (directional drilling, trenching, plowing, conduit/fiber installation), including prior experience supervising field crews.

Technical Skills:Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and ground layout specifications;hands-on familiarity with underground telecom equipment and installation methods.
