Internal Posting? Posting Number SP005290P Position Title Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Division/College Athletics Department Men's Intercollegiate Athletics Location Moscow Posting Context Statement Position Overview
The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Men's Basketball Coach with all facets of the NCAA Division I men's basketball intercollegiate program. Duties include: on-the-floor coaching during practices and games; recruiting of top-quality student-athletes; team travel, conditioning, academics, promotional and public relations activities; collegiate summer camps; and other duties as assigned by the head coach. This position reports directly to the head coach. The position will maintain compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations and must display professional integrity.

Required Experience
  • Two years of basketball coaching experience
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
Required Other
  • Must be able to travel regularly
  • Work nonstandard hours and occasional weekends

Additional Preferred
  • Experience using and implementing scouting software (Ex: Synergy, Game Breaker)
  • Ability to recruit top-quality student-athletes at the collegiate level.
  • Demonstrated public relations and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to comply with NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
  • Coaching philosophy consistent and/or complementary to that of the existing head coach.
