Job description

PANTHER AQUATIC CLUB - Assistant Swim Coach

Panther Aquatic Club is currently accepting applications for an enthusiastic Part Time Age Group Coach who is interested in growth opportunities and is able to work independently, with guidance from our head coach.

PAC is a recognized CT Swimming and USA Swim Team which practices at the Pomperaug High School Pool in Southbury CT. The team operates during the CT Swimming Short Course and Long Course seasons.  

The team is looking for a part time coach who will be available 6-10 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours on an “as needed” basis. This coach is expected to attend 1-2 meets per month throughout the season. This coach will help with our ongoing commitment to swimmer growth and development. Candidates should plan to be dedicated to the program and take initiative in order to advance practice and competitive success.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate should have previous swimming experience, preferably at the college level, and ideally 1-2 years of age group coaching experience. 
  • Team building and communication skills are necessary to uphold a positive team environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work evenings and some weekends, and attend 1 to 2 swim meets a month.
  • The candidate must be willing to meet all required USA Swimming requirements within 1 year, including: CPR/First Aid Certification, Background Check, Coach’s Safety Training

Position is available as of 11/1/2025. Hourly rate depends on experience.
