Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. "The Heart of Our Community" provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. 


Dental Assistant Supervisor & Infection Control Coordinator Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Chief Dental Officer and Dental Office Manager, the Dental Assistant Supervisor & Infection Control Coordinator provides direct supervision to all Dental Assistants and Dental Outreach Staff including development of schedules for the assistants. Under the direct supervision of the Provider, assists and performs a wide variety of patient oral health care services, including: assist the Dentist during dental examinations and procedures; maintain sterilization and infection control protocols; and performs dental radiology and records treatment information in patient records. 


Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm; Wed OFF

Evenings and Saturday coverage if needed


Pay Range: $29.65 - $33.56 per hour*


*The pay range represents HealthFirst's good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations. Candidates with less direct experience may be placed at the lower end of the range, while those with more significant or specialized experience may be considered at the higher end.


Benefits:

$2,000 signing bonus, 3.2 weeks of paid time off (PTO), 3 personal days, and 11.5 paid holidays; employer contributed health, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability and retirement contributions; voluntary flexible spending accounts and disability/critical illness coverage; and employee discounts, referral program, reimbursable licensing fees, tuition reimbursement, and continuing education credits.


Required Qualifications:

  1. Successful completion of Dental Assistant program at an accredited institution and a Massachusetts Dental Assistant license is required. Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred. 
  2. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a dental setting is required. 
  3. Community health or dental background required.
  4. Experience with Epic Wisdom or Electronic Medical Record required. 
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications required.
  6. Bilingual (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred. 
  7. Satisfactory completion of continuing education credits as mandated by any professional boards, licensing agencies, or credentialing organizations as applicable.
  8. Must submit CORI and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.

  2. Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner and in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

  4. Ability to maintain an organized work area and work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  5. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills to effectively communicate with patients.
