Job description

Resorts at Chester River Manor is seeking a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Environmental Services Assistant Supervisor to join our team.

The EVS Assistant Supervisor will assist with overseeing the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department and help ensure our facility remains clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming for our residents, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with supervising and directing EVS/housekeeping staff.

  • Assign and monitor daily cleaning duties.

  • Inspect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, offices, and other areas for cleanliness.

  • Assist with staff training and orientation.

  • Help ensure appropriate staffing and coverage.

  • Assist EVS staff with cleaning duties when necessary.

  • Ensure infection-control and sanitation procedures are followed.

  • Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment.

  • Assist with resident room turnovers and special cleaning projects.

  • Address housekeeping concerns promptly.

  • Work closely with other facility departments.

  • Help maintain compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications
  • Previous Environmental Services or housekeeping experience required.

  • Supervisory or lead experience preferred.

  • Healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, hospital, or assisted living experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be willing to be hands-on and assist staff as needed.
