Celebration Cinema Grand Rapids North has an opening for an Assistant General Manager! We are looking for an individual who is empathetic, calm under pressure, has a high level of maturity. In this role, you will partner with our General Manager to create a strong connection to the community as well as a healthy amp; positive culture. ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a healthy and positive employment culture that emphasizes service, trust, empathy, playfulness, and courage
  • Engage and provide others with the highest level of service, Celebrated service
  • Building promoters of the Studio C employment experience through a culture of coaching, appreciation, individual growth, teaching and learning
  • Assist in maintaining and building the team via recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, development, and even positive terminations of employment
  • Oversee and ensure compliance to company systems and policies, and state/federal laws and regulations
  • Manage and maintain a safe and secure facility by ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Provide outstanding food and beverage preparation, costs, and safety; and ensure alcohol is ordered, prepared and served in accordance with company standards and MLCC regulations
  • Help ensure theatre operates within company fiscal metrics and operational standards
  • Coordinate and lead weekly meetings
  • Assume responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager
ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 Years of Leadership/Management experience required
  • Minimum 1 year recruiting (hiring and/or onboarding) experience required
  • Experience working in a movie theater and/or restaurant setting preferred
  • Certifications for Food Safety and alcohol management program preferred
  • Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Able to work within deadlines and under pressure
  • High level of maturity, confidentiality and problem solving skills required
  • Successfully manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Mobility required during the entire shift - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
