Job description

Overview

The Divisional Statistician is responsible for updating, maintaining, and reviewing all statistical records and reports for the New Jersey Division for accuracy, and for providing monthly reports to Corps and Divisional Departments as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Collect statistical data from NJ Corps and DHQ departments.
  • Review data and identify any recording errors.
  • Generate and prepare departmental reports as requested.
  • Maintain open communication with Corps to ensure data submission requirements are met, including frequency and accuracy.
  • Send reminders and follow up with Corps delinquent on reports or missing data.
  • Prepare necessary forms for Program Reviews, Membership Roll Revisions, Annual Command Review, and Annual Divisional Reports.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Corps Management Database (CMD) manager to ensure new corps members are reflected accurately in the statistical database.
  • Assist Corps Officers and Divisional staff with updating Soldiers' information in the CMD; including the removal or transfers of local Officers and their commissions from the Corps rolls and Corps Management Database.
  • Assist Field Officers with statistical and membership roll training and support.
  • Coordinate with THQ to prepare and submit statistical information as needed.
  • Other duties within the scope of the role as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two or more years of clerical experience.
  • Data entry and ability to manipulate statistical data.
  • Technical proficiency with databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must understand and support The Salvation Army's mission as a church and a social services organization.
