We offer a Level III trauma center, STEMI cardiac receiving center, Certified stroke treatment center, and orthopedics specializing in helping athletes recover from sports related injuries.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our EMT, Resource, you will contribute as an integral member of the EMS outreach and Emergency Department Team, assisting in the provision of quality care to ED patients and supporting ED education and outreach for EMTs and EMS crews.
Every day you will perform a range of clinical tasks including establishing IVs, drawing blood, obtaining EKGs, point-of-care testing, wound irrigation, splinting, and suture removal under physician direction. You will also assist with room stocking/cleaning, data collection, treatments, and procedures, while communicating patient responses to the RN and assisting with scheduling EMT/Paramedic student rotations and outreach education.
To be successful in this role, you will be a certified EMT with strong clinical skills (IVs, EKGs, splinting), excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a commitment to quality patient care, supporting both the ED and EMS outreach efforts.

Job Requirements
Required
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • One (1) year of experience as an EMT in the ED
  • Emergency Medical Technician Certification
  • IV Certification
  • If currently a commonspirit employee you must be in good standing with leadership

Preferred
  • National Certification
