Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Religious and Spiritual Life provides administrative, programmatic and liturgical support to the Dean of the Chapel and ensures the efficient and effective operation of Religious and Spiritual Life, including but not limited to: pastoral care, counseling, mental health and advising support, the creation and preparation of marketing materials and presentations; the communication and management of chapel social media; the creation of the programmatic calendar for the chapel year; and preaching.
Essential Job Duties
  • Manage intake, follow-up, and scheduling of pastoral care and counseling sessions
  • Organize, coordinate, and plan the operational facets of complex programs, including but not limited to establishing objectives, developing checklists and managing logistics, and providing on-site support to accomplish program goals and monitor progress toward achievement for chapel programs (e.g., Prayer Nite, Chapel services, etc.).
  • Prepare and coordinate information and reports for internal purposes and meetings of the Dean of the Chapel as well as perform special analysis and other projects as directed by the Dean.

e Coordinate activities including participant tracking, data collection, data entry, and data management of chapel programs
  • Create and keep the standard operating procedures of the student groups and organizations of the Chapel.
  • Interface with students, student-workers, and student leaders of religious life organizations in preparation for assignments, programming, initiatives, and event needs
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Dean of the Chapel.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
• M.Div. and be ordained or on an ordination track.
• Demonstrated experience with religious and spiritual life coordination, reporting, compliance, and communication.
Physical Demands
Primarily sedentary office work involving significant computer use. Periodic standing, walking, and occasional light lifting may be required.
