Job description

TheSlot Shift Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the Slot Dept. TheSlot Shift Manager oversees and maintains integrity of Slot floor activity. TheSlot Shift Manager monitors the performance of Slot staff, ensuring adherence to Casino policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Ensures that proper procedures are adhered to for marketing and promotions
  • Supervises temporary and permanent removal of funds from the Slots
  • Creates weekly schedules
  • Checks Slot machines to determine if there is fraudulent activity
  • Ensures application of federal currency reporting requirements
  • Performs duties of Slot Attendant as required
  • Assumes administrative responsibility in the absence of Slot Director and Assistant Director

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises Floor Cashiers, Relief Shift Managers, Relief Shift Supervisors and Slot Attendants
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work and performance reviews
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 3 - 5 years casino slot management experience
  • Must be able to communicate in English

GAMING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
