Job description

Title: Information Security Project Manager
Location: Hybrid out of Vienna, Virginia
Duration: Initial 6 months contract with extensions
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or or Authorized to work in US
Basic Purpose:
To provide full Agile project management support by being knowledgeable in Agile methodologies and Scrum processes. This includes working with a team of Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Agile Coaches. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and in accordance with quality standards. Provide project leadership to ensure overall success and delivery of expected outcomes in support of Navy Federal's strategic goals. Work is performed under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Apply and adhere to Agile project management best practices by following the policies, procedures and methodologies established within the Scaled Agile Framework
โ€ข Ensure effective management of projects from inception through implementation
โ€ข Collaborate and negotiate with business partners and vendors to understand requirement needs and resolve any gaps or risks/issues
โ€ข Prepare and deliver status reports regarding project objectives, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues to management and stakeholders
โ€ข Oversee project progress to ensure project documentation and schedules are following previously agreed requirements and standards
โ€ข Maintain and archive all project related documentation
โ€ข Identify, communicate, and resolve technical, tactical, and operational project issues and risks
โ€ข Exhibit intellectual agility and interpersonal flexibility to reassess, reflect and shift thinking as projects or strategic direction changes
โ€ข May be required to support agile team by writing backlog requirements and facilitating Scrum ceremonies
โ€ข Communicate project plan, changes, direction, approach, and priorities based on changing business requirements, circumstances, added information and/or budget considerations to stakeholders
โ€ข Monitor and measure staff assignments results against project goals and task responsibilities
โ€ข Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts, including vendors
โ€ข Full life-cycle project management, including:
โ€ข Establish and lead project teams
โ€ข Develop project plan/scope/schedule/cost/communications
โ€ข Procure and/or manage resources/timelines/deadlines/quality
โ€ข Ensure that vendor meets or exceeds their contractual obligations by delivering quality products/services on time and within cost structure
โ€ข Manage all fiscal management aspects of vendor delivery and provide feedback on vendor performance
โ€ข Ensure successful project implementation
โ€ข Manage project-level risks, issues, dependencies, and change management
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
โ€ข Associate's degree in Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
โ€ข Experience in Agile project leadership and execution, including initiatives with technology, processes, cross-functional teams, and external partners
โ€ข Working knowledge of Agile framework methodologies, SAFe, and Scrum ceremonies
โ€ข Effective skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams, managing timelines/deadlines/resources, ensuring successful project implementation
โ€ข Working knowledge of project lifecycles and development methodologies, including agile project management principles and practices
โ€ข Experience in leading agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in agile environment, including:
โ€ข Daily Standups
โ€ข Backlog Refinements
โ€ข Sprint Planning
โ€ข Sprint Review
โ€ข Sprint Retrospectives
โ€ข Experience in IT resource allocation and management
โ€ข Experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
โ€ข Experience in collaborating across organizational boundaries and building partnerships across various functions
โ€ข Effective presentation skills with essential executive presence
โ€ข Experience with Microsoft Office
โ€ข Experience in leading, guiding and coaching professional staff
โ€ข Experience in vendor engagement related to project delivery
โ€ข Effective skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact
โ€ข Effective skill using innovative thinking to solve problems and facilitate the decision-making process
