Are you an organized, dependable administrative professional who enjoys keeping an office running smoothly?
We are seeking an experienced Department Secretary to provide administrative support to the Department Chair, faculty, students, and visitors in a busy university department. This position offers a professional work environment, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative academic team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Department Chair and faculty.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other departmental documents.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist students and faculty.
  • Manage calendars, schedules, meetings, and room reservations.
  • Process purchasing requests, travel reimbursements, and departmental paperwork.
  • Maintain files, records, and departmental databases.
  • Assist with student registration, lab waivers, and enrollment processes.
  • Order office and laboratory supplies.
  • Coordinate departmental meetings and special events.
  • Track departmental budgets and process financial documents.
  • Supervise student assistants as assigned.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience.
