New Patient Scheduler – Full-Time Position – Raleigh Location

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Appointment Scheduler to join our fast-paced medical practice. This role serves as the first line of customer service and public relations, ensuring all patient and provider calls are handled efficiently and appointments are scheduled accurately across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage high-volume, multi-line phone calls from patients and referring providers
  • Schedule new patient, follow-up, and pre-operative appointments in accordance with provider and clinic requirements
  • Maintain accurate and organized schedules
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information in the electronic health record system
  • Coordinate with clinical teams and other departments to ensure seamless scheduling and care continuity
  • Return voicemails promptly and follow up on patient inquiries
  • Assist with appointment changes, cancellations, and rescheduling as needed
  • Provide directions and general information to patients regarding clinic locations and services
  • Handle patient concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate
  • Serve as backup support for front desk operations as needed
