The Department of Finance, Economics, and International Business in the Lewis College of Business at Marshall University invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance position beginning in Fall 2027.
The Lewis College of Business, housed in the newly constructed, state-of-the-art Brad D. Smith Center for Business & Innovation, holds dual AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting. Marshall University is a Carnegie classified high-research activity institution located in Huntington, West Virginia, and is guided by its Marshall For All, Marshall Forever strategic vision, which emphasizes affordability, flexibility, and student achievement.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate finance courses in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. Additional teaching opportunities may be available in the College's Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching Financial Markets and Institutions, Bank Management, and Derivatives and Risk Management.
Location MU - Marshall University Salary Range Salary commensurate with experience and internal equity.

Required Qualifications
Education
Hold a Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB-accredited business school. ABDs close to completion will be considered.
Experience
Demonstrate a strong record of, or potential for, high-quality scholarly research and a commitment to publishing in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
Demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses, along with a strong commitment to student learning and success.
Preferred Qualifications
Education Experience
Experience teaching with the Bloomberg Terminal.
Experience supervising a student-managed investment fund.
