Job description

At Clark Pacific, the Assistant Superintendent, Field Operations plays a critical leadership role in the successful fabrication and installation of architectural and structural building systems. Working remotely and on-site as part of an integrated project team, this position applies advanced project management, problem-solving, and communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, and field operations.
This is a hands-on, field-focused leadership role responsible for overseeing Field Engineers and supporting multiple projects from production through installation while ensuring quality, safety, and performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
  • Lead and manage Field Engineers in the delivery of production and field/erection phases of projects.
  • Oversee manufacturing-related activities including schedule reporting, pre-pour and post-pour inspections, and ensuring quality aligns with project specifications and PCI standards.
  • Support field operations during the erection phase including reviewing crane studies, rigging plans, site logistics, shipping coordination, and manpower planning.
  • Coordinate on-site activities with General Contractors and trade partners to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Attend and represent Clark Pacific at job-site meetings as the primary field liaison.
  • Manage project-related tasks including issue identification, resolution, contract compliance, and escalation when necessary.
  • Develop and implement Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to support safe field operations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and field operations.
  • Contribute to project deliverables including schedule, cost, and quality targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in field-related construction roles.
  • Proven experience supporting or leading field operations in commercial construction environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed (up to 95%).

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor Field Engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to visualize construction processes and details in 3D.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
