About This Opportunity
We are seeking a safety-driven CDL Driver / Rigger to support our field operations across the Greater Atlanta region. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on rigging and crane support in active construction environments.
This is not a long-haul or over-the-road driving position. The role is embedded in field operations and requires direct involvement in lift execution, equipment handling, and jobsite safety.
Position Summary
The CDL Driver / Rigger is responsible for safely transporting equipment and actively assisting crane operations before, during, and after lifts. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe lifting practices, ensuring equipment readiness, and supporting overall jobsite execution.
The role requires strong adherence to safety standards, operational discipline, and the ability to work effectively within a field crew in high-risk environments.
Primary Focus Areas
Transportation Compliance Rigging and Lift Support Equipment Handling Jobsite Safety Operational Execution Team Coordination
Key Responsibilities
Transportation and Compliance
  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required inspection reports
  • Maintain compliance with DOT requirements and report mechanical issues immediately

Rigging and Lift Support
  • Assist crane operators with equipment setup, lift execution, and breakdown
  • Perform proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of loads
  • Provide standard hand signals and maintain communication during crane operations
  • Support placement and setup of mats, spreader bars, and counterweights

Equipment and Asset Management
  • Properly secure all loads in accordance with cargo securement standards
  • Inspect chains, binders, straps, and rigging equipment for safety and compliance
  • Maintain inventory of assigned equipment and report missing or damaged items
  • Clean and maintain assigned truck, trailer, and equipment daily

Operations Coordination
  • Report to Logistics Manager upon completion of assignments for next dispatch
  • Support multiple job sites within the Atlanta region as required
  • Follow all company safety policies, job-site requirements, and environmental standards

Requirements
  • Valid CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead
  • Reliable transportation to reporting location or jobsite
  • Experience in crane, rigging, or steel erection operations preferred
  • Familiarity with rigging techniques and hand signaling preferred
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
