Job Overview: Equipment Manager โ Aerospace
Insight Global is seeking an Equipment Manager with 9+ years of experience to support the development, integration, and verification of aerospace mechanical and hydraulic systems. This role is focused on owning equipment requirements, managing technical documentation, and working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet performance and regulatory standards.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys diving into technical details, troubleshooting issues, and owning system-level outcomes in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Ownership & Requirements Management
- Own and maintain equipment-level documentation (SCDs, SSOWs, ICDs)
- Define, manage, and trace requirements using tools such as CAMEO and DOORS
- Ensure alignment with system-level and regulatory requirements
- Review qualification and test plans to identify risks, gaps, and compliance issues
Supplier & LRU Coordination
- Serve as the technical point of contact for suppliers and LRU vendors
- Review engineering drawings, test procedures, analysis reports, and qualification data
- Ensure supplier deliverables are complete, accurate, and compliant
- Support supplier testing and assist with technical issue resolution
Verification, Testing & Compliance
- Support requirement verification and qualification testing activities
- Review test data and validate results against requirements
- Participate in RCCA efforts for integration or test failures
- Contribute to gated reviews and support FAA/military compliance activities
Integration & Troubleshooting
- Support lab, rig, and aircraft integration
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or actuation systems
- Work cross-functionally with systems, test, manufacturing, and quality teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, test, and program teams to meet deliverables
- Provide schedule and task inputs using MS Project
- Balance independent technical work with collaborative team efforts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in a STEM discipline
- 3+ years of experience in Equipment Management or equivalent system ownership
- Aerospace or defense industry experience
- Experience with CAMEO, DOORS, MS Project, and LabVIEW
- Experience developing and owning SCDs, SSOWs, and ICDs
- Background in requirements traceability, verification, and qualification testing
- Experience working with aerospace suppliers and vendors
- Hands-on troubleshooting and RCCA experience
- Familiarity with FAA or military certification environments
- Experience participating in gated review processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulic or electro-mechanical actuation systems
- Experience working with LRUs and supplier-provided equipment
- Familiarity with FAA or military certification requirements
- Experience supporting ODA-related activities
- Active or previous Secret clearance (not required)
