• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and thorough assessments to understand clients’ unique concerns.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that set achievable goals based on initial assessments.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the needs of clients.
• Document client progress meticulously from initial consultation through discharge, maintaining accurate case records in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Follow up on clients receiving inpatient care and liaise with healthcare providers to ensure smooth transitions back to outpatient services.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery, providing proactive interventions to help clients maintain focus on their treatment goals.
• Support families and caregivers by offering guidance and resources to assist them in managing mental health challenges.

Our clients vary in age and background, often facing a spectrum of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction-related disorders. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will engage with individuals, couples, and families within a community health setting, emphasizing compassionate care and a client-centered approach.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
• Successful completion and passing of relevant examinations such as the NCE or NCMHCE.
• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems like AVATAR for maintaining accurate client records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and documentation.

• Previous hands-on experience as a mental health counselor, exhibiting versatility in different therapeutic settings.
• Understanding of and experience with co-occurring physical health conditions and emotional disorders.
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.
• In-depth insights into the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by referring medical professionals.
• Able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and empathetic abilities critical for building trust with clients.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by a comprehensive healthcare benefits package.
