Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst - Remote Day Shift
Overview
As a VNOC Technician, you will serve as a front-line resource responsible for monitoring network activity, responding to alerts, managing tickets, and communicating with customers, internal teams, and third parties.
This role is focused on monitoring, incident triage, ticket management, and communication, with clear escalation paths to Network Engineering and vendor support teams.
This position operates on a rotating shift-based 2-week schedule with alternating workdays and days off, including weekend and holiday coverage. Employees work every other weekend as part of the rotation.
Responsibilities:
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor broadband service provider networks using network monitoring systems and respond to alarms, alerts, and outages.
  • Create, update, and manage tickets while documenting troubleshooting steps, customer communication, and resolution details Implement network changes and upgrades.
  • Perform initial triage and basic troubleshooting of network issues related to routing, switching, access, and service availability.
  • Escalate issues to internal teams or vendors following established procedures.
  • Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Track incidents through resolution and ensure proper ticket closure and documentation.
  • Support customer notifications and outage communications.
  • Follow established procedures, runbooks, and escalation workflows.
  • Assist during scheduled maintenance by monitoring performance and validating system status.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, activity, and customer interactions.
  • Participate in shift handoffs with team members to provide awareness of ongoing tickets.
  • Deliver operational accountability by ensuring all alarms, incidents, and reported issues are promptly investigated, communicated, and resolved according to established processes.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience or familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
  • Ability to follow structured processes and escalation procedures
  • Customer-focused mindset with professionalism under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work shift-based schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a NOC, help desk, ISP, or managed services environment
  • Experience supporting broadband or telecommunications networks
  • Experience with ScienceLogic SL1 is a plus
  • Experience with HaloPSA ticketing/service management platform is a plus

Certifications (Preferred):
  • CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCST, Juniper JNCIA, or equivalent is preferred
