Position Overview

Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C. is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in bilingual services to join our team in providing essential mental health support remotely from Aurora, Illinois. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to assist children and families facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges, contributing to positive life changes within the community.

Our focus is on providing Youth & Family Support Services that empower primary caregivers of children and adolescents with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (I/DD). Work Environment

This remote position allows therapists to provide critical in-community therapeutic services across the state of Illinois. Working from home offers flexibility, but therapists must be available for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours, typically from 4 pm to 7 pm, with the option for weekend sessions. Our community health clinic creates a collaborative virtual environment where you can connect with colleagues and other professionals to deliver exceptional care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions in the clients' homes or group sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on therapeutic techniques that address unique challenges.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to provide anger management strategies, coping skills development, and social skills training to improve behaviors and family dynamics.
  • Work closely with the Child Family Treatment Team, which includes professionals from various disciplines, ensuring a cohesive approach to treatment and support.
  • Document all therapy sessions and client progress in a timely and detailed manner, adhering to regulatory standards for intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, provide recommendations, and enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role centers on providing intensive therapeutic services to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges, typically aged 3 to 20. These services focus on enhancing emotional regulation, social skills, and overall mental health for individuals and their families. Your work will significantly contribute to improving life outcomes for clients and their caregivers.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • Must possess an active, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of Illinois.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish or Portuguese to effectively communicate with diverse clientele.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for home visits and traveling within the community.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience providing positive behavior support and intervention techniques.
  • Background working with children and adolescents, particularly those with I/DD and behavioral challenges.
  • Experience collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
