High school diploma and two years of business college preferred
Proficiency in oral and written communication
Ability to pass typing test (35 wpm)
Proficiency in computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and SAM)

JOB GOAL
To contribute to the efficient operation of the school office by providing support in the areas of attendance, records, data entry, and other assigned tasks
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serves as secretary/receptionist for assigned supervisory personnel.
Prepares correspondence including typing letters and reports; answers and directs telephone calls; responds to complaints and requests for information; opens and distributes mail and incoming correspondence.
Completes and maintains accurate records and reports; compiles and updates a variety of periodic reports and information.
Operates a variety of office equipment including photocopiers, facsimile machines, and computers; inputs and retrieves data and text.
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
ATTENDANCE FUNCTIONS
Inputs and maintains required attendance data on student administration management system.
Completes daily and monthly attendance reports and prints absentee report; runs and verifies ADA report.
Processes dismissals, releases students after sign out, and readmits students after absences; enters excused absences when students return.
Produces excessive absence reports and notification letters; notifies attendance officers of excessive absences.
Assists in the maintenance of student discipline records.
RECORDS FUNCTIONS
Inputs and maintains required records data on student administration management system including, but not limited to, student grades.
Enrolls students, enters demographic data, and withdraws students; assists in maintenance of schedule information.
Scans grades, prints report cards, runs honor roll, prints cumulative records labels, and maintains accurate cumulative records.
Requests and sends cumulative records when appropriate; records pertinent data on cumulative records.
Assists in compilation of immunization forms and related data; assists in processing of student lunch applications.
Arranges parent conferences as directed.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
