Job description

Summary
The Staff Accountant will provide timely, professional accounting services for the Linco Development Company on a consistent basis.
Responsibilities
  • Project Accounting for all Linco Development activities.
  • Month end closing for all properties, active developments, and all companies (Realty, Properties, Developments, and Fairview).
  • Separation of A/P and A/R duties, including scope, execution, measurement, and improvement.
  • Payroll processing – collaborate with RaLin’s People & Culture Team and utilize Paycom, HRIS, to code and complete on-time.
  • Commissions – pay all commissions related to development, realty, etc.
  • Distributions – process all distributions to partners from various companies.
  • Collaborate with CFO, Controller, and other key stakeholders to optimize job requirements and key deliverables.
  • Complete special projects and tasks assigned by Leadership.

Billing
  • Record billings.
  • Complete required data entry.
  • Reconcile monthly pay applications with current contract values.

Accounts Payables
  • Voucher vendor payments.
  • Assist A/P, as needed.

Fixed Assets
  • Maintain companies fixed asset files.
  • Record original cost and calculate monthly depreciation.
  • Reconcile fixed asset accounts to General Ledger.

Payroll
  • Reconcile tax reports.
  • Audit monthly, quarterly, and annual pay reports.

General Ledger
  • Analyze accounts, as required.

Year End
  • Collaborate with Controller and external auditors on year-end audit.
  • Perform year end account analysis.
  • Assist in preparing year-end requirements for audits.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; in lieu of degree, 10+ years of accounting experience
  • Attention to detail, analytical skill set, and proficiency with Excel and accounting systems/applications
  • Excellent communication skills – able to engage at all levels of the organization
  • Organization and time management -  able to meet strict, measurable deadlines
  • Leadership – must have the curiosity and interest to lead projects, special initiatives, and company growth goals
