Responsible for assisting designated Loan Originator(s) with marketing needs, administrative office functions, client communications and loan applications as directed. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities: Maintain an active Ameris Bank sponsored Nationwide Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) number in compliance with the federal S.A.F.E Act requirements. Assist Loan Originator(s) with any and all tasks as directed. Input files into designated origination system and obtain all necessary documentation. Send out all required compliance disclosures and loan packages as needed. Assist in retrieving client data including: faxing and emailing documents, preparing correspondence, making copies of borrower information, filing, scanning etc. Maintain and update the designated Loan Originator's customer database in designated contact management system, mail thank-you notes to customers and realtors, prepare flyers and rate sheets and other marketing materials as directed. Assist with coordinating activities, such as, open houses, luncheons, realtor events, client events, professional functions, presentations, etc. as directed. Provide backup support to the Loan Originator(s) when he/she is unavailable by assisting with answering the loan originator's phone, returning calls, and attempting to find answers to the customers' inquiries by coordinating with the other mortgage departments. Assist the designated Loan Originator(s) on counseling customers on all products the customer is eligible to obtain ensuring the product chosen best fits their financial needs without steering a customer to a particular product in the loan originator's absence. Maintain status reports of loans and review with assigned loan originator and/or manager. Act as a liaison with designated mortgage processor as needed. Communicate daily with assigned Loan Originator(s). Keep informed on all Ameris Bank Mortgage loan programs and adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements. Keep informed on all mortgage related policies and procedures that may affect their job duties. Attend all required meetings. Complete all required training. Adhere to work schedule as designated by manager.Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: Mortgage industry knowledge preferred. Thorough working knowledge of HMDA, compliance and new regulations and procedures preferred. Basic knowledge of loan documentation for state and compliance preferred. Strong problem-solving skills.Industry and Work Experience: 2 years Mortgage experience preferred. 2 years customer service experience required.Academic: High school diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree preferred.
