The Quality Manager I provides technical, administrative, and field support to the senior Field and Project Managers for all Quality Control related items. This position typically works under direct supervision of the jobsite senior Field or Project Managers or under the direction of a more senior Quality Manager and can additionally be responsible to oversee an Assistant Quality Manager. They perform routine daily activities with an emphasis on materials identification, field inspections, reporting on conforming and non-conforming construction works, and leading Quality-related meetings with internal staff and trade partners. The Quality Manager must be a flexible and adaptable team player, have good communication skills, and exhibit a proactive and self-starting interest in advancing Quality-related objectives on the job. The Quality Manager is a value-added member of the team and actively works to improve risk management on the job through mitigation of construction errors.

Quality Manager Required Qualifications:

5+ Years experience working within a project team contributing to coordination, development, and/or tracking of various project needs such as RFIs, submittals, document control, project reporting, inspections, and close out activities. 5+ Years experience reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. 5+ Years of experience in the construction of Commercial building projects (internship experience may be acceptable on a case-by-case basis) with a general contractor/trade contractor/construction management/inspections firm. 2+ years practical experience performing inspections for a general contractor, trade contractor, design firm, jurisdictional body, or inspections firm. Bachelor's Degree - Construction Management, Engineering, or similar; or 8 years equivalent experience and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience.
