POSITION SUMMARY

Aleut Federal is seeking a Senior Proposal Coordinator to join our team in Reston, VA. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Support proposal development process for Aleut Technical and Infrastructure systems groups (TSG/ISG) to include coordinating entire lifecycle of proposal process (e.g., coordinate kickoff and subsequent status/tag-up meetings and track proposal development).
  • Develop compliance matrices, proposal schedules, and team POC lists.
  • Coordinate day-to-day proposal production activities, including scheduling proposal production plans and associated resources for final production.
  • Work with proposal team to gather resumes, create organizational charts, and complete annex sections for technical proposals.
  • Create compliant Word templates based on RFP requirements and Aleut Federal proposal style.
  • Perform formatting/desktop publishing for color team reviews and final submission.
  • Review and analyze proposal content to identify areas for improvement in compliance and strength.
  • Conduct in-depth review and quality control for proposal submission. Ensure proposal content aligns with requirements of RFPs.
  • Coordinate and assist in the proposal review process.
  • Assist with submission of final proposals for RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and Best and Final Offers.
  • Maintain the TSG/ISG past performance library.
  • Maintain proposal content library.
  • Create opportunity workspaces in the SharePoint environment.
  • Assist in required actions to RFP amendments and Government notices.
  • Work with the Proposal Manager to communicate with technical team and proposal writers to ensure internal deadlines are met.
  • Assist with updating/maintaining proposal and new business development materials.
  • Assist with other proposal/BD-related duties as assigned, including functioning as a proposal manager on smaller opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Business or related field (experience can substitute for specific degree specialty).
  • Minimum three to five years of professional experience creating proposals for a variety of U.S. Federal Government clients, to include IT/Cyber, Space, and Infrastructure (GSA Facilities O&M and BOSS) arenas.
  • Strong critical thinker, problem-solver and naturally solution-oriented.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to edit proposal content for grammar and consistency and format proposals per RFP requirements and Aleut Federal style (desktop publishing).
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams/projects and respond promptly to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and personal accountability for high-quality deliverables.
  • Understanding of Federal Government acquisition process.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of consultants, subject matter experts, and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, Internet research, and proposal automation applications.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, as necessary, to meet proposal response deadlines.
  • Experience with graphics or related field a plus.
  • APMP, Shipley or similar certification a plus.
