Data Center Project ManagerAbout Pogue Construction

Pogue Construction is a family-oriented, faith-based, employee-owned general contractor with offices in McKinney, Fort Worth, and Houston, Texas. For nearly 60 years, we have built a reputation for delivering exceptional projects while investing in our people, clients, and communities. As we continue to expand our Mission Critical and Data Center portfolio, we are seeking a motivated Project Manager who is passionate about project management and eager to help deliver complex, fast-paced projects that demand the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages daily oversight of all assigned projects
  • Active participation in new Project Pre-construction
  • Monitor job progress, Subcontractor performance & Project costs
  • Review Assistant Project Manager (Asst. PM) RFIs and Submittals
  • Working knowledge of project bids and issue contracts
  • Negotiate with Subcontractors & Suppliers
  • Prepare monthly billings and financial reports
  • Prepare/Conduct all Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) Meetings (Weekly)
  • Manage Owner & Architect expectations
  • Review Project Schedule and Subcontractor Pay Applications with assigned Superintendent and support Contract Completion Dates
  • Oversee timely project close out
  • Attend Owner-sponsored events
  • Train Asst. PM and Project Coordinator, if assigned
  • Knowledge of Owner and Subcontractor contracts

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPECTATIONS:

  • Meet all assigned deadlines
  • Maintain Project Budget(s) and deliver projected profit(s)
  • Maintain all administrative responsibilities (internal & external deliverables)
  • Visit Jobsite twice per week
  • Learn and Grow under the leadership of management
  • Team Player – support all efforts towards on-time Project completion
  • Annually complete 20 hrs of Continued Education
  • Communicate – Openly, Honestly, and Frequently, with Pogue Superintendent
  • Update Senior Project Manager on all Project(s) milestone(s) and potential drawbacks
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Internal and external customer service

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s in construction science or commensurate experience
Preferred
  • Experience with data center, mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, or large commercial construction projects.
  • Exposure to MEP systems coordination and installation.
  • Experience utilizing Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management software.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent field experience.
