Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The primary responsibility of the Assistant to Project Manager is to advise and assist Project Manager on a variety of project related matters with a focus on coordination to aid in removing barriers on behalf of the Construction field teams. Prepares contingency plans and makes recommendations accordingly. Provides technical support to field team members as needed within the scope of the assignment. Provides oversight to the quality assurance activities related to the project, reports and follows up on quality related problems. Coordinates within EAS departments and with other prime contractors to ensure the work is planned and executed in such a way that delays are minimized and rework is eliminated.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates Shop drawings; Aids in purchasing equipment and materials issuing PO's, and tracking orders
  • Manage submittals; maintain paper and electronic contract drawings, documents and coordination drawings.
  • Attend any job related meetings as required
  • Update weekly Manpower schedules for Project
  • Update weekly Manpower reports
  • Update Projection vs. Actual bar charts on a weekly basis
  • Maintain all charts and schedules for tracking current and projected field manpower.

EDUCATION:
  • This Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or 5-years equivalent experience in HVAC site work assisting in all or part of Project management duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Must be computer proficient in Word, Excel, Scheduling Software such as Primavera
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Have knowledge of OSHA and other Construction related Rules and Regulations; knowledgeable in all EAS Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to meet our approved driver's policy.
