Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in steel fabrication to oversee multiple projects from start to finish in a fast-paced construction/manufacturing environment.

Steel fabrication experience is required for this role. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

This position is responsible for managing project scope, schedules, costs, and quality while coordinating across internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage overall project execution, including cost, schedule, and quality
  • Coordinate drafting, purchasing, fabrication, and installation timelines
  • Review project specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate project updates, schedule changes, and priorities to internal teams and clients
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including what-if scenarios for planning and risk mitigation
  • Utilize project management software (Tekla or similar) for RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and change orders
  • Monitor production progress and ensure alignment with project timelines
  • Attend project meetings and visit job sites to assess progress and resolve issues
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to track materials and delivery schedules
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting production, quality, or deadlines
  • Provide updates on contract changes, specifications, and project status to leadership
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of Project Management experience
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, contracts, and client management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience with Tekla or similar project management software preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Construction-related degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
