Job description

Key Responsibilities:
This role is a critical interface role between the Westinghouse Project Engineering Department, supporting Teams, Owner, and Construction Partner to facilitate the successful completion of the Turbine Island for Kozloduy Units 7 and 8. Due to the international nature of this project, there may be travel up to 10% of the time to manage the interfaces, coordinate with the Owner and facilitate the successful completion of the 50 Hz Turbine Island design. The PE will be important to clearing barriers, coordinating needs, and managing cross-company collaboration.
You will report to the Project Engineering Manager and be located at the Cranberry Township, PA facility. The position is hybrid; you will be on site 2 days per week.
Interface/Collaborate:
  • Internally within project engineering, between Departments and Project Engineering
  • Coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering project milestones, contractual tasks, or associated deliverables assigned
  • Assist Project Manager (PM) with all change control processes (e.g. additional scope requests, scheduling)
  • Help develop or create schedules and budgets for scopes related to contract Scopes of Work
  • Work with the external and internal team members to determine how to satisfy commercial and technical requirements
  • Support execution of assigned tasks and mentor novice engineers
  • Review and support delivery of engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Support multiple meetings and workshops as the representative and voice of the Westinghouse organization and the Consortium (WEC-Constructor)
  • May perform engineering preparation or approval of Project Engineering documents.

Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical)
  • 4+ years of experience in engineering roles (design, project, manufacturing, or quality)
  • Familiarity with technical requirement management
  • Project management experience
