Job description

Uprite Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support ground up commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and tilt up projects throughout the Greater Sacramento region.

This position is ideal for someone who has experience working for a general contractor and wants to grow into an Assistant Project Manager and future Project Manager. The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to help drive successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
  • Track procurement and long lead materials
  • Maintain project logs and meeting minutes
  • Support schedule updates and progress reporting
  • Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Participate in project meetings and site walks
  • Assist with project closeout and turnover documentation
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Project Engineer experience
  • Ground up commercial construction experience required
  • Experience working for a general contractor strongly preferred
  • Experience with industrial, manufacturing, tilt up, warehouse, distribution, or commercial projects preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Procore and Bluebeam experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
