Job Summary:

The Project Manager, Foundations will provide leadership and support to all aspects of the company's foundation operations to include safety, operations, P&L, planning, scheduling, cost monitoring, cost reporting, customer reporting, performance tracking, budgeting, estimating, change orders, billing, marketing, staff development, business development and bid development.ย  In this role, it will be essential to learn how the business runs, how changing circumstances are handled, and who to contact when there are questions in order to maintain efficient continuity of work.ย  Critical for success are excellent oral and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in teams.

This is a traveling role and will require up to 100% travel to project locations throughout the west

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Provide daytoday oversight, leadership, and technical expertise for a portfolio of drilling, foundation, and civil construction projects.
  • Develop project execution plans including safety plans, schedules, cost codes, document control plans, material and equipment plans, and staffing strategies.
  • Assist with project handoff from estimating through field execution and closeout.
  • Ensure adequate resources are in place to maintain schedule, budget, productivity, and safety expectations.

Financial & Cost Management

  • Prepare, manage, and control project budgets for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor job cost performance, forecasts, and monthly financial reporting; ensure accuracy of costtocomplete projections.
  • Develop and manage Schedule of Values (SOV), billing packages, and timely customer invoicing.
  • Oversee change order pricing, tracking, and negotiation resulting from design changes, RFIs, or scope revisions.
  • Implement costsaving and efficiency measures while maintaining quality and productivity.

Scheduling & Performance Tracking

  • Create, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules.
  • Monitor production, labor hours, equipment utilization, material usage, and subcontractor performance.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly progress updates to operations and senior management.

Safety Leadership

  • Demonstrate strong safety leadership by supporting and enforcing Summit Line's safety protocols.
  • Integrate safety into all project plans and activities.
  • Promote proactive safety practices, conduct observations, correct unsafe conditions, and support safety training.
  • Monitor safety metrics and drive continuous improvement across projects.

Contract & Documentation Management

  • Prepare, review, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements in coordination with legal and procurement teams.
  • Develop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals, RFIs, and contract documentation.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project records in accordance with document control standards.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, utilities, owners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead coordination meetings with field leadership, subcontractors, engineers, and customers.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities clearly and effectively.
  • Ensure senior management is kept informed of project progress, business opportunities, and industry trends.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Assistant Project Managers and project staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, highperformance team culture.
  • Support staffing planning for upcoming and completed work.
What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in construction management, civil or construction engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of progressive experience in project management, field engineering, or construction management within drilling, deep foundations, shallow / flatwork foundations, or heavy civil or utility construction.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and construction ERP/project management software (e.g., CMiC, Procore).
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and building codes.
  • Selfstarter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to project sites nationwide.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must pass required drug and alcohol screenings and criminal background check.
