Job description

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems. Responsible for managing smaller projects through all aspects including, estimating, coordination of cost control, scheduling, reporting and document control activities. Administer and execute gradebeam set up and attend walk through as company representative. Set up process for CMIC. Support all project start up processes and implement overall project schedule. Responsible for management throughout project and day to day activities for a project. Establish process for subcontractor communication, oversee document management and control, ensure all updated documents are distributed to project team, and prepare all documentation as required for LEED certified projects. Responsible for administering the change management process in collaboration with PM or SPM, and reporting any major issues relating to schedule, changes, field quality control. Run subcontractor pre-construction and OAC meetings and provide minutes. Collaborate with project superintendent for all field related issues.

Qualifications: 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Engineering, foreign equivalent, or related field.

Position requires four (4) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related occupations.

Position requires experience in:

  • Technology. Robust understanding and experience implementing all construction related programs. Including CMiC, Bluebeam, Procore, Navisworks, AutoCAD/ Revit, Matterport, Power Project and Microsoft Excel.
  • Preconstruction, including quantity take off, unit cost assembly, collaborative budgeting with select trades and vendors. Experience required from each phase of preconstruction, including schematic design through construction documentation.
  • Engineering of both structural and civil systems. Includes peer review and assembly assistance of Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering reports for both new and existing construction. Ability to review structural engineering calculations for structural steel and provide feedback to both engineers of record and subcontractors.
  • Financial Management, including change order assembly/ review, market price comparisons, Owner change order assembly and review and posting contract amount increases.
  • Subcontract award experience, able to create a scope of work, competitively bid that scope, review with project stakeholders, host a scope review, then award a full subcontract.
  • Reviewing terms and conditions of owner contracts to ensure compliance throughout project completion.
