Job description

Position Purpose/Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician I or II supports the design, development, and testing of new products by building new prototypes and assisting engineering teams. This role involves hands-on assembly, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure product concepts are successfully translated into functional builds. The ideal candidate must be able to interpret and build products using standard operating procedures (SOP) as well as developing and writing these procedures under the direction of manufacturing engineers. Candidate should possess knowledge of cleanroom processing principles and have strong problem-solving skills. This technical role will be responsible for communications related to the build process with both design and manufacturing teams.


Essential Duties:

  • Support the X-ray business unit in the product development area by assembling and building product prototypes, test units, and development samples according to engineering specifications
  • Assist engineers with product development, testing, and iteration cycles
  • Use data analysis to track and trend failure and scrap data to identify systemic issues in products and equipment.
  • Follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete builds accurately
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during assembly and testing, reporting findings to the engineering team
  • Maintain detailed records of builds, tests, and results
  • Support lab organization, tool maintenance, and inventory of components and materials
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards
