Job description

Assistant Professor of Instruction – Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of South Florida, Tampa Campus seeks a continuing 9‑month, full‑time, non‑tenure track Assistant Professor of Instruction to begin on August 7, 2026. Salary for the 9‑month appointment is $60,000, with additional compensation for summer teaching assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Teach eight undergraduate courses during the academic year (four courses in the fall and four courses in the spring).
  • Provide additional departmental service as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology or a related discipline from an accredited institution, with a demonstrated record of achievement in undergraduate teaching and departmental service.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
  • ABD applicants whose degree will be conferred by the appointment start date are acceptable.
