Job description

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking an Assistant Professor-Clinical for the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging. The candidate will perform and interpret radiologic procedures in the field of Cardiothoracic Imaging for patients at McGovern Medical School and at affiliated locations including Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) Hospital, HCA-The Womanโ€™s Hospital of Texas, and outpatient imaging facilities in the Cardiothoracic Imaging Section.

JOB TITLE: Assistant Professor, Clinical

Responsibilities

Perform high volume imaging service, read and interpret cardiothoracic radiographs, thoracic CT and cardiovascular CT and MRI exams. Interaction with referring physicians, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to educational activities such as lectures and case conferences, engaging in clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly publications. Faculty are also expected to participate in departmental meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives, collaborate on practice development and operational planning.

Qualifications
  • MD degree or Foreign Equivalent
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Radiology
  • Texas Medical License or eligible to be licensed
  • ACGME accredited Radiology residency or 48 months of international equivalent
  • 12 months of fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging
