Key Accountabilities

  • Promote and demonstrate safe behavior at all times 

  • Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed CHESS goals in support of the department, site and company standards 

  • Participate in daily crew safety meetings 

  • Participate in daily activities with the Engineering team, including data compilation, validation, and preparation of daily production reports. 

  • Conduct regular underground surveys of development headings; install laser and survey stations. 

  • Create and update various CAD drawings, primarily related to lateral development, ground support, and construction. 

  • Perform ventilation surveys and assist in preparing related reports. 

  • Support the short-term planning lead with planning-related tasks. 

  • Contribute to special projects aligned with business needs. 

  • Liaise with other members of the operational and technical team. 

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Currently Enrolled in a Mining Engineering Program in either your 2nd or 3rd year. 

  • Current Driver's License. 

  • Computer literacy Microsoft Office (extensive excel skills is a requirement). 

  • Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all engineering tasks. 

  • Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations. 

  • Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.
