Job Summary
The University of Michigan's Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level. We seek a scholar who studies either China or the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and are particularly interested in candidates who approach either of these geographic areas from a broader comparative politics or international relations perspective.
Required Qualifications*
This position is at the assistant professor rank and is a university year appointment. It is anticipated to begin August 25, 2027. Promise of excellence in research and teaching is required.
Employment will require a successful criminal background check and candidates must meet all degree requirements prior to the start date of the position. The University of Michigan is supportive of the needs of dual career couples and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
