Department Overview

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

Function/Duties of Position

The OHSU Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is inviting internal medicine endocrinology physicians (MD/DO) to apply for a faculty position focused on the management of thyroid and parathyroid diseases. This faculty position is a vital component of the Multidisciplinary Thyroid/Parathyroid Center that has provided regional and national leadership for over fifteen years delivering comprehensive care for patients with complex thyroid and parathyroid disease. This faculty will join our current endocrinologist and partner with five surgeons. This faculty will care for patients with both malignant and complex benign thyroid and parathyroid diseases.This faculty will join our department at the academic rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The faculty will care for patients in an ambulatory clinic setting with a mature referral pattern, teaching trainees at the medical student, resident, and fellow level. Additionally, the faculty will contribute to scholarly output and collaborate with OHSU colleagues to advance the field. The faculty will be supported to engage in national and/or international society in the spirit of advancing thyroid and parathyroid science and medicine. With the mentorship of Departmental and institutional colleagues, the faculty will be supported to deliver sustained efforts in teaching, service, and scholarly contributions and earn academic promotion.
