Job description

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pathology is looking for exceptional individual (MD, DO, MD/PhD, DO/PhD, or PhD) to develop or continue groundbreaking basic or translational science as an independent scientist. Preference will be given for expertise in areas of (but not limited to) neuroscience, immunology, molecular biology, stem cell biology, or cancer biology using stateofthe art technologies with a focus on mechanisms of human disease at a cellular or molecular level. Appointment at Associate or full Professor, tenured, is subject to UTSW Promotion and Tenure guidelines and will require high impact publications, significant grant support and a national reputation. For Associate or full Professor ranked candidates, preference will be given to those with extramural grant support.Outstanding resources, startup funds, renovated laboratory space are available as are proximity to UTSW Cores, Basic Science Departments and animal facilities. The Department has an outstanding mix of young, midcareer and senior investigators who operate in a collegial and stimulating environment.
