The Department of Government at Dartmouth invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Comparative Politics. We particularly welcome applications from scholars whose research and teaching focus on topics related to migration, democracy, or political economy. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in the candidate's areas of expertise as well as one introductory course in comparative politics or quantitative methods.
Dartmouth's Government Department is a leading center for political science research and teaching. Our faculty are prominent researchers working at the forefronts of their fields. We host one of the largest undergraduate majors on campus, with more majors than any other political science department in the Ivy League. Our department also maintains close connections to related departments and academic centers at Dartmouth including the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding, the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy, and Dartmouth's Ethics Institute. Applicants for this position may choose to participate in activities organized by or collaborate with colleagues in Asian Societies, Cultures, and Languages; Middle Eastern Studies; and/or African and African American Studies.
