Job Summary

The Assistant Produce Manager supports the Produce Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Produce Department. This position helps ensure high-quality product presentation, exceptional customer service, food safety compliance, inventory control, and department profitability. The Assistant Produce Manager assists with leading and developing associates while maintaining fresh, appealing displays that drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations
  • Assist in managing the daily operation of the Produce Department.
  • Ensure produce displays are fully stocked, visually appealing, and maintained throughout the day.
  • Monitor product quality, freshness, rotation, and proper inventory levels.
  • Support department merchandising plans, promotional programs, and seasonal displays.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department environment.
Customer Service
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with product selection, preparation suggestions, and special requests.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Promote a customer-focused culture among department associates.
Food Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
