Job description

Administrative Assistant Position

Seeking knowledgeable applicants with strong interpersonal and communication skills for permanent 12-month administrative assistant position.

Works 244 days – allotment of sick, personal and vacation days

This position reports to the Director of Student Services located in the District Administrative Offices.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to organize and prioritize materials and tasks
  • Work independently
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Computer skills – applications such as Word, Excel, and IEPWriter
  • Operate various office equipment
  • Appropriately handle confidential information
  • Respond in a timely manner to inquiries from community members and staff

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Assist School Psychologists
  • Adhere to compliance timelines for Student Service evaluations
  • Send permissions to parents/guardians for evaluations
  • Manage a shared spreadsheet to track permissions/timelines
  • Monitor/order subscriptions, renewals and supplies
  • Coordinate services with outside providers
  • Maintain out of district student files
  • Coordinate and complete necessary forms for student placement in out of district programs
  • Manage master spreadsheet to track student placement and educational information
  • Schedule meetings as follow up to evaluations
  • Assist with executing contracts and agreements
  • Manage district Student Services classified employee spreadsheet and maintain training detail

Must pass district administrative assistant skills test when scheduled.
