Role Overview:
Plans, analyzes, and executes production schedules for manufacture of industrial or commercial products by performing, but not limited to, the duties outlined below.
Work Environment:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret production requirements/information, create and manage the execution of the production plan to maximize on-time completion of scheduled requirements.
  • Responsible to the production control supervisor for analyzing current production plans and future scheduling of manufacturing operations to best support machine schedules and OEM parts orders.
  • Advises project management of problems that may interfere with schedule commitments and assist in devising corrective actions.
  • Accountable for reviewing and responding to ERP (MRP/PRP) generated order action and exception messages.
  • Continual emphasis is placed on process improvements to enhance material flow, throughput, and on time delivery performance.
  • Reschedule production orders where necessary to maintain shop floor sequencing and priority based on available workload and the master production schedule. Maintain adequate workload to responsible workstations.
  • This may require re- routing future operations and or recommending the release of future requirements.
  • Accurately report the status of subject orders at all meetings pertaining to production control to help identify problems, give projected completion dates, and establish shop priorities.
  • Responsible for releasing work orders. Update jobs in WIP that have engineer order changes. Identify and resolve material shortages or schedule conflicts.
  • Any other duties as assigned by manager

Critical Competencies for Success:
  • 2-4 years of production control and/or master scheduling experience.
  • A thorough knowledge of MRP/ERP principles.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • APICS certification a plus
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus, but not required

Pay range: Minimum $71,000 - $87,000
Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
Bonus eligibility: This position is also eligible for a variable incentive pay component, separate from base salary.
