Job description

The Experience Director/Pastor's primary role is to oversee the vision and strategy of the weekend experience at their respective campus. They hold the standard of the Saddleback weekend experience from streets to seats. Along with that, they also assist in helping people take their next faith steps with new believer and baptisms at their campus.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead and coordinate weekend "First Impression" ministry teams in support of campus church services and events.
  • Be "voice" of the campus, build leaders, build teams, develop people to handle the responsibilities of ministry for the church that will ultimately help people cross the line of faith and build a deep relationship with Christ.

Leadership recruitment and oversight of ministry leaders, volunteers, and teams.
  • Recruit and meet with people to find the right team for them, meet with leaders to help them develop their leadership skills in developing people and duplicating systems to achieve results.
  • Empower leaders to achieve ministry goals.

Event Coordination and Leadership
  • Assist the Campus Pastor and/or campus staff on partnering with volunteers on special events/logistics and coordination.
  • Plan and execute logistical plans for effective on-campus and off-campus special events.

Develop Property/Campus Systems
  • Coordinate all property logistics and maintenance. Recruit and lead volunteers for on campus grounds keeping, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate all janitorial services, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Manage and coordinate inventory and supply logistics for campus property and church "First Impression" ministries.
  • Coordinate and manage all requests for repairs of facilities, vehicles, and equipment.

Oversee and lead people to their next faith steps that include:
  • Fresh start (new believer's kit)
  • Baptisms
  • Newcomers Connection events

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
  • Ability to speak Spanish is highly desirable
  • Experience in coordinating multiple events, preferably in a church setting
  • Experience with leadership principles

  • Working with others towards common goals
  • Must be able to teach in some capacity and be able to communicate core truths of scripture

The person will be hired as a Director or Pastor depending on ministry experience.

Saddleback Church's pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity and budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. The estimated pay rate for this position is $71,000-$74,000 per year, depending on experience. We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate's qualifications and experience for the job. The posted wage range does not guarantee a specific job offer.
