Job description

Position Title:

1st shift Assistant Operator         

Pay Rate:

$21.79/hr.

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time OT and Weekends may be required

(6am - 2pm)

The Job You Will Perform:

Assist the operator in making ready, maintaining and operating corrugated manufacturing press machine in which you are assigned. (rotary die cutters, Flexo folder gluers, labeler and folder gluer machinery)
Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
Feeding, catching and stacking corrugated sheets at machine feed and stacking stations. Overseas/performs order setups including setting heads, mounting of print plates and dies, maintaining safety, quality and required housekeeping standards. Ensures all orders are completed to specifications including "special instructions" if applicable. Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader which may include parts and hand assembly.

The Skills You Will Bring:

At least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in the corrugated industry is a plus.

Basic computer skills, ability to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications, division and use of a tape measure.

Ability to work in an environment that is often hot in the summer and cool in the winter.

Light to moderate lifting (up to 50lbs)

Ability to stand throughout entire shift

Candidates must be available to work overtime & on Saturdays as needed.

Must be willing to work in an environment that is hot in the summer and cold in the winter
