What you get to do:

  • Ensure a safe environment for all ambassadors, guests, and animals.
  • Responsible for the development of OJT's and ambassadors by providing training, feedback, and coaching.
  • Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures.
  • Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve.
  • Respond to guest and ambassador needs.
  • Report to Supervisors and Managers regarding the status of projects.
  • Oversee completion of daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Utilize problem solving skills to ensure positive guest resolutions as needed.
  • Oversee assigned area.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all cash handling procedures.
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a valid high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and able to meet company's driving guidelines.
  • Provide excellent guest service to guests and ambassadors.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members.
  • Be able to provide approved footwear (i.e., approved non-slip sneaker shoes, specified color requirements, etc.) upon first date of employment.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) months park experience with no significant performance deficiencies within that period or equivalent three (3) months external leadership industry experience.
  • Be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements.
  • Be able to perform job duties/task and meet the minimum qualifications of the positions within the scope of supervision.
  • Have a working knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent computer skills, ability to work multiple selling systems preferred.
  • Ability to operate in a cash handling environment, previous cash handling experience preferred.
  • Be able to walk and stand for long periods of time and work extreme weather conditions.
  • Be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • At least 3 days of unrestricted availability including weekends (1 must be between Friday-Sunday) and holidays during the non-peak season. (Labor Day through Memorial Day)
  • At least 4 days of unrestricted availability including weekends (1 must be between Friday-Sunday) and holidays during peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
  • Be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level.
  • Ability to bend and stoop to assist in cleaning the park.
  • Ability to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification.
