Innovative Food Solutions Operations Manager
This Position reports to the President of Innovative Food Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with IFS President on weekly โ€œspotโ€ milk pricing.
  • Purchase and sell excess volumes of milk on the โ€œspotโ€ market.
  • Track, monitor, and report excess milk sales.
  • Work closely with Logistics Coordinators to move milk efficiently.
  • Develop/manage a positive working relationship with plants, producers and all key contacts.
  • Become familiar with producer facilities and processes.
  • Provide expertise on current market trends.
  • Work closely with IFS President to establish raw milk and cream contracts.
  • Support in the budgeting and P amp;L process.
  • Work to identify and mitigate risk
  • Be/Become a FARM certified auditor.
  • Be/Become BQA certified.
  • Work closely with milk processors to understand their quality requirements and expectations.
  • Work closely with, network, and establish relationships with processors.
  • Assist producers with data inquiries
  • All other job-related tasks that may arise.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Ag Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience in milk procurement or dairy purchasing
  • Self-Starter, work well independently.
  • Working knowledge of the PMO.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to Travel.
