Assistant Operations Manager - STAC
Location: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
Reports To: Contract General Manager
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports daily STAC operations and supervises shift supervisors and frontline staff across Premium and DO/EXIT service areas. This role ensures efficient operations, compliance with airport safety standards, and consistent service delivery. The position is currently scheduled from 10 AM - 6 PM including leadership responsibilities and providing operational coverage during the absence of the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Oversee daily operational coverage and staffing assignments.
โ€ข Monitor call-outs and coordinate staffing adjustments with supervisors.
โ€ข Conduct shift briefings and ensure accurate reporting and operational documentation.
โ€ข Supervise shift supervisors and frontline staff, providing direction and accountability.
โ€ข Maintain an active floor presence to support staff and resolve operational or guest service issues.
โ€ข Support employee onboarding, training, and ongoing safety and compliance programs.
โ€ข Participate in performance management, including feedback and corrective action when required.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and service standards.
โ€ข Assist with quality assurance initiatives and emergency preparedness.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in operations, hospitality, aviation, or a similar service environment.
โ€ข Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
โ€ข Strong judgment and analytical skills.
โ€ข Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
โ€ข Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
โ€ข Must be able to pass a background check to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge.
This is a full-time Hourly position from $30-$35 hourly.
