The league currently features eight teams and is focused on building the next era of spring football, with expansion planned for 2028 and beyond.


ABOUT THE ROLE

Drive Revenue. Lead People. Inspire Growth. As Director, Team Ticket Sales & Service, you will lead the strategy, execution, and performance of your team’s ticket sales and service operations, playing a critical role in expanding our fan base, maximizing revenue, and strengthening engagement in your assigned market. The position will also be responsible for individually contributing to the overall sales goals through their own efforts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Local Market & Team Management

  • Lead the local ticket sales team to the achievement of set performance targets for Season, Group and Premium ticket packages for the season.

  • Meet or exceed an individual performance target through the sale of Season, Group and Premium ticket packages, leading the group by effective execution of their own meetings and sales.

  • Support ticket sales staff by working collaboratively with local marketing and sales leadership to provide leads, help solve impediments and managing an organized sales structure.

  • Recruit, hire and train sales and service teams.

  • Work with Head of Business Operations (Team) and VP, Ticket Sales & Service to develop and maintain a professional and competitive sales team culture.

  • Lead effective sales team meetings and training sessions.

  • Effectively manage team and individual sales pipelines, providing regular tracking of outbound and inbound contacts, meetings and sales activity.

  • Work closely with Sr. Director, Ticket Sales Strategy & Enablement to execute upon the local CRM strategy for sales teammates.

  • Provide consistent and reliable feedback on sales activity and effectiveness making recommendations to be more effective, efficient and successful.

  • Serve as the local point of contact for the team’s ticket business at the league level.

  • Participate and lead activities at team and partner events (i.e. Chamber Events, professional associations, corporate events, etc.) as assigned to support ticket sales efforts and promotional initiatives with purpose of selling, networking, gathering leads and meeting new prospects.

  • Effectively handle incoming sales calls from prospective clients for all ticket sales products.

  • Effectively follow up with customers and prospective customers to build relationships to help drive business.

  • Represent the UFL, the local team and other partners professionally, with integrity, credibility and good judgment.

Gameday Ticketing Operation

  • Oversee the execution of all sales activations, coordinating staffing, collateral, signage, ticket promotions etc.

  • Oversee the execution of client visits from sales team, prospect entertainment etc.

  • Coordinate with league staff to effectively execute experiences (i.e. access to field, player engagements, youth clinics etc.) where applicable.

  • Actively recruit and manage part time gameday staff to assist in fan engagement and customer acquisition efforts where applicable.

  • Represent the UFL, the local team and other partners professionally, with integrity, credibility and good judgment.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.   • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in ticket sales, service, revenue generation, or sports business operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

  • Premium or ticket sales experience in the sports and entertainment industry required.

  • Minor League or start-up sports and entertainment experience preferred.

  • Experience with servicing customers required.

  • Experience with CRM systems required.

  • Experience with a ticketing system - Ticketmaster/Architects required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products required.

  • Must have good decision-making skills, solid judgment and interpersonal effectiveness.

  • Must have an interest and ability in serving others as one of the primary functions of their job.

  • Must be able to lead by positive example and high character .

  • Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and within the company as a whole.

  • Must possess strong communication skills; must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong, active listening skills.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Location: Columbus, Dallas, DC, Louisville, Orlando or St. Louis

  • Hybrid role; presence required at all games and key events.

  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Local travel required; minimal out-of-market travel (<20% travel): UFL markets, games, and events as needed.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Business Operations and/or VP, Ticket Sales & Service.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. This range reflects the expected compensation based on qualifications, experience, and location. This role is eligible for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits, including medical/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401(k) plan, unlimited PTO and offers a discretionary bonus. The actual base salary offered will remain subject to final determination of the UFL and will be based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, location or other reasonable criteria consistent with UFL’s operational business needs and applicable law.
